Affordable Housing

Registered Providers (RPs), more generally known as Housing Associations, work in partnership with the council to provide affordable homes locally. The homes are let to applicants on the council's Housing Needs Register, which is managed by the Welwyn Hatfield Community Housing Trust. More information is contained in this leaflet  Housing Associations [63KB] and the local Registered Providers are listed below:

Tenancy Strategy & Policy

The Tenancy Strategy sets out the expectations for Registered Providers in the Borough in formulating policies in relation to:

• The kinds of tenancies they grant and the circumstances in which they grant them and bring them to an end
• Where fixed term tenancies are used, the length of the fixed term
• Rent levels
