Planning advice appointments
You can book an appointment with a Duty Planning Officer to discuss any general development questions you may have.
Appointments can be over the telephone or face to face in our Reception at Campus East.
Telephone appointment slots are available between 10am and 12pm, Monday to Friday.
Face to face appointment slots are available between 10am and 12pm, Tuesday to Thursday.
Slots are capped at one 15 minute slot.
We can only provide general guidance on planning matters and cannot comment on the acceptability of specific development proposals (including proposals under Permitted Development rights).
You will need to:
- check if the Duty Planning Officer can offer you advice
- provide the site address
- provide your contact details

Telephone appointments
The duty officer will contact you by phone on the date and time you have selected.
A maximum of two attempts will be made to contact you. If we are not able to contact you or you are not available, you will need to re-book another appointment.
Face to face appointments
Face to face appointments are held at our Campus East Office in Welwyn Garden City.
You will need to arrive at least 5 minutes before your appointment is due to start. If you arrive late, you may need to re-book another appointment.
