Sandbags and protection

The responsibility to protect property is that of the occupant, and the council does not supply sandbags, which have a number of limitations. Sand bag materials maybe purchased from builders' merchants and DIY stores. Alternatively, the National Flood Forum blue pages show a range of flood protection products and where to purchase them. The Environment Agency advice on sand bags and their limitations is available on the website.
