This grant is intended for businesses that have been mandated to close due to Tier 4 restrictions being implemented.
Your business may be eligible if:
- You received a grant from the National Lockdown in November 2020 and your circumstances haven't changed.
- You occupy a property and pay business rates to Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council.
- Have been required to close from the 20 December 2020, due to localised restrictions, and were trading up to this date. Retrospective funding is not available before this date.
- Have been unable to provide your usual in-person customer service from yoour premises.
Businesses that could be eligible are those that have been mandated to close by Government and include non-essential retail, leisure, personal care, sports facilities, and hospitality businesses.
- Businesses occupying properties appearing on the local rating list with a rateable value of exactly £15,000 or under on the date of the commencement of the local restrictions will receive a payment of £667 per 14-day qualifying restriction period.
- Businesses occupying properties appearing on the local rating list with a rateable value over £15,000 and less than £51,000 on the date of the commencement of the local restrictions will receive a payment of £1,000 per 14-day qualifying restriction period.
- Businesses occupying properties appearing on the local rating list with a rateable value of exactly £51,000 or above on the commencement date of the local restrictions, will receive £1,500 per 14-day qualifying restriction period.
If you have already applied for support through the 5 November 2020 to 2 December 2020 national lockdown scheme you do not need to reapply.
