Summary of new agreement
The revised tenancy agreement is broken into sections and includes:
Signature section - which now has a clear break down of charges, as well as emergency and next of kin information with an authority to discuss your tenancy.
- About your secure tenancy agreement – this explains what type of agreement it is, joint and several liability, changes to the tenancy, costs and serving notices.
- Paying your rent – rent and information about service increases.
- Service, housing-related support charges and other charges – new section which includes changes to any charges.
- Ending your tenancy – this explains how you can end a tenancy and how we can end the tenancy.
- Changes to the tenancy – this explains succession rights, assignment, mutual exchange, and joint tenancies.
- Our obligations – this is what we must do to keep our side of the contract. This covers such things as repairs, external decorations, and housing management. The full document sets these out in more detail.
- Your obligations - this is what you must or must not do to keep to the terms of the agreement. It covers things such as fly-tipping, paying your rent and other costs, repairs, gardens, shared areas, parking etc. The full document sets these out in more detail.

- Independent advice – this details your right to seek independent advice about the tenancy.
