In this section
Making your application non-active
If your application is non-active you will not normally be offered accommodation but you will stay on the Housing Needs Register.
Application are usually made non-active for a set period of time, or until an action has been completed.
We can make applications non-active if you:
- Have not responded to an offer of accommodation, or to a request to contact us about your application. We will make your application non-active and write to you asking that you contact us within 28 days. If you do contact us we will cancel your application.
- Have breached your Tenancy Agreement. Examples of breaching your Tenancy Agreement include rent arrears, anti-social behaviour, subletting your home, or not keeping your home in good condition.
We will take into account any exceptional circumstances, health issues or support needs before we make your application non active.
If you are in debt will consider:
- the reasons for this
- any efforts you have made to repay it
- changes in the pattern of your behaviour
before we make your application non-active.
