Chief Executive and Head of Paid Service
Ka Ng is Chief Executive of Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council
The Chief Executive:
- supports the political leadership who provide strategic direction for the Council
- is head of paid staff at the Council
- has overall corporate management and operational responsibility
- manages the professional body of Officers needed to deliver modern, effective and well focused services
- represents the Council on partnership and external bodies
- acts as the Electoral Registration Officer and Returning Officer for elections
- shares responsibility for implementation of the council's Emergency Plan and Business Continuity Plans.
