Snow and ice disruption
Bin disruptions
Our crews will try their best to continue bin collections whatever the weather. Sometimes snowy or icy weather may make it too unsafe for our lorries to carry out bin collections. If this happens we will update our website with any changes.
We are unable to empty bins if the lids are frozen shut or the contents are frozen inside. You can help by checking the lid can be opened and loosen any frozen contents before your collections, if it is safe and you are able to do so.
Emergency repairs for tenants
We provide an out of hours contact for emergency repairs to council homes. This is for genuine emergency situations only.
If your condenser boiler stops working due to a frozen pipe we are not able to deal with this an emeregy repair and would encourage tenants to refer to the advice below.
