Affordable Housing need by tenure
The SHMA Partial Update 2015 explored the affordability of various affordable housing products. The analysis indicates that around 49% of the newly arising need could be met by a range of intermediate products, e.g. varying degrees (60%, 70%, 80%) of affordable rent, shared ownership etc. This leaves around 51% of newly arising need requiring traditional social rented housing. This will be the starting point for negotiations.
