Garage asbestos advice
Some of our garages contain asbestos in their cement roofs. Asbestos in a common building material and this type poses a minimal risk.
Asbestos cement is low risk because the asbestos fibres it contains are held in the cement matrix. It will only be released if it becomes damaged.
If your garage has been identified as having asbestos, you should not carry out any drilling, or work to the garage roof, that could result in the asbestos being disturbed or damaged.
