InterFaith group
In this section
The Interfaith group is a charity supporting Inter faith in the local area.
People from different faiths and backgrounds can talk together to explain their beliefs and discover what we have in common, understand the differences and appreciate the diversity.
Running for over 15 years many of the members have become good friends.
We have signed an InterFaith Covenant to help develop activities around uniting communities to better serve their residents
Events
The group runs a programme of events.
Everyone is welcome including people from many different faiths and spiritualities and no faith at all.
There are a mix of social and learning events, activities and dialogue. Plus opportunities for volunteers to get involved with our monthly planning meetings, and running events.
Some examples of events include:
- Sharing food from around the world
- Nature walks
- Conferences
- Family storytelling
- Visits to places of worship
- Meditation
- Well-being
- Holocaust Memorial Day events
- Peace Day events
- Multi-cultural shows
We also run Whisper (Welwyn Hatfield Interfaith Schools’ Peace Education Resource) a project taking visitors to schools from many faiths.
