This grant is available to business forced to close as part of the 5 January 2021 national lockdown.

Businesses that are eligible include non-essential retail, leisure, personal care, sports facilities and hospitality businesses, and those that have been mandated to close by Government.

Support available to eligible businesses

First Payment Cycle - 5 January 2021 to 15 February 2021

  • Businesses occupying premises appearing on the local rating list with a rateable value of £15,000 or under on the date of the commencement of the local lockdown will receive a payment of £2,001 per 42-day qualifying restriction period.
  • Businesses occupying premises appearing on the local rating list with a rateable value between £15,000 and £51,000 on the date of the commencement of the local lockdown will receive a payment of £3,000 per 42-day qualifying restriction period.
  • Businesses occupying hereditaments appearing on the local rating list with a rateable value of £51,000 or above on the commencement date of the local lockdown, will receive £4,500 per 42-day qualifying restriction period.

Second P ayment Cycle - 16 February 2021 to 31 March 2021

  • If your business has a property with a rateable value of £15,000 or less, you may be eligible for a cash grant of £2,096 for this 44 day qualifying restrictions period.
  • If your business has a property with a rateable value over £15,000 and less than £51,000, you may be eligible for a cash grant of £3,143 for this 44 day qualifying restrictions period.
  • If your business has a property with a rateable value of £51,000 or above, you may be eligible for a cash grant of £4,714 for this 44 day qualifying restrictions period

If you have already applied for support through the 5 November 2020 to 2 December 2020 national lockdown scheme you do not need to reapply.
