Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council offers residents a comprehensive subsidised pest control service for domestic premises.

All pest control treatments are supplied by our contractor, Dial A Pest, which is part of SDK Environmental Limited.

The prices shown below include VAT.

Concessionary rates are available for those residents who are receiving the following benefits:

  • Income support
  • Disabled persons tax credit
  • Council tax benefit
  • Housing benefit
  • State retirement pension

You will be required to show proof of benefit entitlement and a utility bill to the Pest Technicians when they call.

How to pay

Payment for treatments is normally collected by debit or credit card once your booking has been confirmed.

You have the right to cancel and obtain a full refund at any time up and until the treatment commences.

All work is subject to our contractor's treatment terms and conditions.

Bees

The Council does not provide a service for removing bee swarms; for more information about honey bee swarms and how to identify them please visit the Welwyn Beekeeper's Association website or contact Mrs Lieva Nation on 07949 624354 or welwynbees@gmail.com.

Please note they are only able to deal with honey bee swarms and not bumbleebee swarms, for more information about bumbleebees, please visit the Bumblebee Conservation Trust website. Alternatively, check the yellow pages for local bee keepers.
