Licensing policy

Licensing Sub Committee

11.1 The Council will set up a Licensing Sub-Committee of 3 Members of the Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council’s Licensing Committee. The SubCommittee will meet and hear every application where representations are made unless resolved by mediation between all parties.

11.2 Where the subcommittee exercises its discretion at a hearing it will take into account this licensing policy.

11.3 Ward Councillors may sit on a Sub-Committee involving an application in their ward subject to the rules on prejudicial interest and apparent bias/predetermination.
