Wildflower grassland areas
We have a number of areas around the borough which we leave uncut to allow for wildflower meadows to flourish and provide a valuable habitat for insects and pollinators.
The wildflower grasslands are located here:
- Southway, Hatfield (includes Travellers Lane roundabout)
- Woodhall Park
- Stanborough Green (opposite Herts Police HQ)
- The Ridgeway (section on opposite side to Weltech Centre)
- Waterend Lane (on banking)
- old A1 near Red Lion, Ayot Green
- The Quadrangle (section of the centre green area)
- rear of council offices
- areas of the Black Fan Lagoon and Black Fan Road
