Our approach to bringing Empty Properties back into use
7.1 The Council, in collaboration with partners and empty property owners, commits to using the powers available to tackle long term empty homes that are unsafe or are presenting a significant problem to neighbours or the local community. This may involve the Council purchasing, refurbishing, or managing, empty properties back into use as affordable homes. A flowchart outlining the approach is in Appendix B.
