Council housing priority bands

Band B: Very high need to move
You are classed as band b if:
- you are homeless (either in temporary accommodation or registered as "homeless at home") and we have accepted a main duty to house you
- we have accepted a main duty to house you, such as a family who is seperated
- you have very high social circumstances that are seriously affected by current housing and would be helped with a change of housing
- you need to move from care or supported housing and we have agreed to rehouse you under a special quota scheme (subject to a time limit)
- you are a tied tenant who we have contractual obligation to re-house when your employment ends
- you are a council (or local Registered Provider) tenant with a dependent child/children in a flat above the third floor or a bedsit
- you are a council (or local Registered Provider) tenant with three or more children sharing a bedroom
- you are a council (or local Registered Provider) tenant where two people of opposite sex (with one over 10) have to share a room
- you are an ex-council tenant that we agreed to re-house when your tenancy ended
- you are two council tenants who by moving in together will free up two other council properties
- you are a council (or local Registered Provider) tenant who is under occupying the property and will be giving up one bedroom by moving to somewhere smaller
- you are a council (or local Registered Provider) tenant who wishes to move from General Needs accommodation to Supported Housing
- you have been assessed as having either High Medical Priority, or needing two or more bedrooms, who also has at least one factor from band C.
