Adaptations and Sheltered Accommodation

8.1 There is no specific ground for possession relating to secure tenancies where properties are adapted and the successor does not require the adaptation

or where a successor remains in a property that has been developed for a specific client group i.e. sheltered accommodation.

8.2 Where this is the case, we will ask the successor to move voluntarily to more suitable and appropriate accommodation.

8.3 We will not allow discretionary succession to take place to a property that has been adapted but the 'successor' does not require the adaptation. We may consider the offer of alternative suitable accommodation.This is also the case where the successor would remain in a property that has been developed for a specific client group.
